Parks & Recreation Ammon hosts a city swimming pool, a 16 scene cinema complex (Edwards Theater), The Teton Spectrum Raceway and numerous city parks including McCowin Park, Peterson Park and the recently added Eagle's Homestead Park.
History Ammon was founded by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints in the mid 1880's with William Rawson as Bishop. Ammon was officially incorporated in 1905 and became a 2nd class city under Idaho Law in 1963.
